Gretna's Hotel

Level Designer
Gretna's Hotel is a level made entirely on Unity.
The goal was to produce a level in a scary atmosphere containing 5 minutes of gameplay.
You play a guard in an old hotel of the 40s. You must go to the basement while avoiding the monster chasing you. Or ... Is it just a game of your mind?

My role in the production
This project was a project to be done solo in the space of a month. For the good of the project, we had at our disposal an asset pack containing some scripts.
We could do whatever we wanted concerning the design of the level (except the duration, minimum 5 minutes).
For the good of my intentions, I decided to modify some of his scripts. Especially those affecting the surveillance camera, the digicodes and to display the texts.
Once the Blocky in place, the biggest challenge was to impose a horrific atmosphere throughout the progression of the player.
Supporting basic intentions unfortunately have not been respected all the time. The main reasons were the lack of time and the execution performed too late in the production of the map.
Nevertheless, I've learned a lot thanks to this project concerning visual effects techniques. (Animation of lights, shaders, particle effect ...)
